As per the SEBI circular SEBI/HO/MRD2/DCAP/CIR/P/2020/127 dated july 20, 2020 regarding the margin collection and reporting of peak margin available in cash and derivatives segments, please note that from dec 1, 2020 for intraday trades also upfront margin is required as per the phased manner
phase 1 – 25% of the upfront margin to be available before the trade is being executed from dec 1 2020 to feb 28 2021
phase 2 – 50% of the upfront margin to be available before the trade is being executed from mar 1 2021 to may 31 2021
phase 3 – 75% of the upfront margin to be available before the trade is being executed from june 1 2021 to aug 31 2021
phase 4 – 100% of the upfront margin to be available before the trade is being executed from sep 1 2021
from dec 1 2020, we will collect the margin as per the above SEBI circular and there will be change in exposure limits and accordingly please maintain the funds as per your trading requirement.
Also please note that shares lying in client POA will not be considered as margin for delivery trades and for intraday trades also. In order to consider securities as collateral for margin process, client have to pledge securities(using new pledge process i.E via OTP authentication) in favor of trading member.
